Should you require any further details regarding our treatment of personal data, please contact Edmond Hanley.
You will not normally have to pay a fee to exercise your data protection rights. Where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, taking account of whether it is repetitive, we may charge a reasonable fee based on the administrative costs involved or refuse to act on the request, as permitted by law. We will explain and justify any such decision. If we refuse to act, we will also inform you of your right to complain to the Data Protection Commission and seek a judicial remedy.
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
We will respond to requests to exercise your data protection rights without undue delay and within one month of receipt. Where necessary, taking account of the complexity and number of requests, we may extend this period by up to two further months. If an extension is required, we will inform you within the initial one-month period and explain the reasons for the delay.
If you are not happy with any aspect of how we collect and use your data, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission (DPC), the Irish supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.dataprotection.ie).
